The mission of Florida American Legion Boys State is to develop leadership and to bring the young men who participate to a full realization of the duties of the American citizen.

Rising high school seniors are tasked with building the “Mythical 51st State” as they run for various elected positions at city, county, and state level to form fully functioning judicial, legislative, and executive branches of government, while learning to be a good citizen, networking, and making lasting memories.
